Tony Bennett – Tony Sings the Great Hits of Today!
Released: 1970
Label: Columbia/CBS Records
Notes:
Front cover: This was kept in it’s shrink before I scanned it. It’s pristine. I did replace the red as it had gotten a little rough over time.
Sleeve-front: This is a bit yellowed and wrinkled in spots but I was able to replace the yellowed color with it’s exact shade and fix almost all the wrinkles.
Sleeve-back: I didn’t do quite as well here. Replacing all the white areas would have destroyed the text so I couldn’t do that here. I cloned where I could to remove as many wrinkles as possible.
Back cover: Again, this was pretty pristine. Too much text to replace the red but this side held up better so no big deal. I just cloned some inconsistencies out.
Labels: Labels are in great shape too. Just removed the spindle hole, scanned, and uploaded.
P.S.: This is the one album in Tony Bennett’s catalog that he actually hates. Listening to it, the reasons are rather obvious. This is NOT good. There’s truly nothing to see here. Bennett has said that he actually vomited just before starting to record this album. It’s no wonder, really. The album was a commercial disaster too.
